ESUR 9th Prostate MRI Teaching Course

ESUR 9th Prostate MRI Teaching Course
24-25 May, 2019

Dear colleagues,
I am glad to welcome you to join the 9th ESUR Annual Prostate MRI Teaching Course that will be held, for the first time since 2012 in the historical city of Rome, following the success of the past editions.
The year 2019 will be an exciting and decisive one for prostate MRI, which has now reached the highest level of evidence (1a) as first line diagnostic exam in the EAU guidelines. As such, it becomes necessary for the radiologist to be up-to-date in prostate imaging.
The course is designed to provide an innovative and comprehensive overview on the imaging  of prostate cancer for both beginners and experienced radiologists. For beginners, educational lectures will be given to face the key issues of prostate cancer imaging in the daily clinical practice, which will be also discussed during the Multi-Disciplinary Team live sessions.
For experienced radiologists, open-question sessions on controversial topics are designed to provide an update on prostate cancer imaging. Lectures on interventional radiology will be held to give a more comprehensive picture of the role of the radiologist. Parallel sessions have been introduced for the first time this year, where the delegate will be free to choose between basic and advanced subjects.
In addition, hands-on sessions will provide practical training on the structured reporting of prostate MRI.
The course is addressed to all Radiologist, Urologist, Radiation Oncologist, Nuclear Medicine Physicians and Oncologists involved in prostate cancer, in order to learn a common language to use in the entire prostate cancer pathway.
Finally, I am confident that this annual course will provide an opportunity to build up a network of connections to exchange opinions in clinical practice/research and to meet old and new friends.
See you soon!
